We have just had a week in Travemunde as John was sailing the the Contender Germany Championships. There were about 60 boats and he ended up coming mid fleet which he was pretty happy with.
The weather has been absolutely amazing. We have had sunshine and warm temperatures all week. I have never been in northern Germany when the weather has been good. It was great.
Unfortunately on two days of the regatta there was just too much wind and they didn’t go out … so a lot of hanging around. John did sail in an exhibition race in the river one of the afternoons.
I have met some lovely German Contender sailors that I hadn’t met before so it has been great for me as well. We had a couple of very big nights … again!!!!
John had a flight with the boat on the first day and took a fair bit of skin off his nose and had nasty red bruises on his face. However, they have healed pretty well.
