Another 5 days in Bequia

Since the last post we had 5 more days on Bequia … it felt like a real holiday holiday, rather than constant travelling. We walked a lot, swam a lot, ate out and ate in. We also met lots of interesting people. There was a constant rotation of people to chat to at the various coffee spots.

John ran into Jill and David Henry … the people off Sweet Charriot, the boat that John sailed across on. We had coffee with them on Tuesday afternoon, followed by them popping up to our little studio for fruit, cheese and biscuits and gingerale. Best I could do under no notice! They enjoyed it though and it was a bit of fun. John and I had a nap after they left followed by a walk and rums in the pool. Too many rums actually! Not too good the next day. Still managed to walk though and in the evening we met up with Jill and David at Jack’s Spot, a great restaurant on Princess Margaret Beach. A huge steep road into there. We hopped in their tender on the way out and got dropped off at Ginger Bread Hotel wharf, still a walk for us but not as steep.

Thursday morning we looked out and couldn’t see Sweet Charriot so thought that they had moved on to St Lucia. We walked up to Mount Paradise … a fair walk … everything is pretty steep on Bequia.
